What the Internet looks like

Have you ever wondered what the Internet looks like? Well now we can show you pictures from inside Google’s data centre!

Inside Google’s data centre in Lenoir, NC, which is manned 24/7 are networking rooms, super computers, servers, and huge cooling towers to stop everything overheating!

You can now tour the building on Google street view, please see the clip below for more information.

London 2012 Part 1

This is the first of three special posts to commemorate the 2012 Olympics held here in the UK from tinblog.

In this post we will share some designs and packaging inspired by the event, in our second post we will look back at the history of past London olympics and finally in our third post we will share an infograph about London 2012.

Here are three design projects we like -

1. MWM Graphics collaborating with Attik and CocaCola on a campaign found here.

2. This minimalist approach from Samar Abbas as an alternative take on the poster for the swimming events.

3. And these alternative London 2012 Olympic posters inspired by Les Graphiquants and David Hockney by Giles Priscott.

If you wish to see more alternative London 2012 Olympic posters please check out this post from AnotherDesignBlog.

Apple by the Numbers

Here at Tinbot we use Macs. In fact we are pretty devoted to everything Apple, so much so that if we hear that you are due to buy a new computer, we will chew your ear off about how much better they are than PC’s.

So much so that Rob is better at selling Macs than a Apple Store genius! But we can now rest peacefully, as more and more people are purchasing Macs. Infact Apple as a company is so successful it now has more cash than the U.S. Treasury!

Please see below for more information on the increasing popularity of Apple products.

Oreo Turns 100!

Here at Tinbot towers we love a biscuit with our cuppa in the office and one of our favourite kind of biccies is Oreo’s.

I spotted these clever ads which were created to celebrate Oreo’s 100 Birthday here on this blog. The concept of the advertisements is to recreate historic events from the last 100 years using Oreo’s!

We love this campaign as it is simple yet creative and fun. The only downside is that now I really want to eat some Oreo biscuits with a glass of milk now but have none in the cupboard!
